STCC Consortia Membership

STCC Library is a member of two consortia and our students, staff and faculty have access to a number of libraries throughout Massachusetts.

 

HELM

STCC Library is now a member of the HELM Consortium.  Founded in 2017, HELM (Higher Education Libraries of Massachusetts) is an association of Massachusetts college libraries in public higher education.   By the end of 2021, it will include 12 community college and 2 state college libraries, including Holyoke Community College Library and the Berkshire Community College Library.   

NOTE: STCC Library's partnership with C/W MARS ended on June 1st 2020. 

 

Cooperating Libraries of Great Springfield (CLGS)

STCC Library is part of CLGS, a consortium of public and academic libraries located in the Greater Springfield area. By reciprocal agreements, a STCC library card will be honored at the Cooperating Libraries of Greater Springfield. These libraries include: American International College, Bay Path College, Elms College, Holyoke Community College, the Springfield City Library, Springfield College, the Western New England University Library & Law Library, and Westfield State College. Library card holders from these institutions also have borrowing privileges at STCC Library. Circulation Services & Policies

Circulation Policies

Borrowing

Members of the STCC community have full borrowing privileges in the library provided they have registered and their records are in good standing. ​

STCC Faculty:

  • register with a college issued ID or a valid government issued ID. 
  • have reciprocal borrowing privileges at the Cooperating Colleges of Greater Springfield consortia.
  • may borrow print material for a period of one semester and audiovisual material for one week or as needed depending on format. 

Reserve Material 

To place an item on reserve for your class please bring the item to the circulation desk.

Reserve material is kept at the Circulation Desk. Most items are library use only and require a college ID or library card to access. 

Purchase Request
