Google Slides

As part of Google Drive, Google Slides is a free presentation software. It's just like Powerpoint but it has more modern templates and all your work is saved automatically in the cloud! You can access all of Google Drive by signing into your STCC Gmail account.

Open Office Impress

Open Office is a set of free software that is very similar to Microsoft Office, but it's free to use and share. Impress is the Open Office equivalent of Powerpoint. It's easy to use and is compatible with Microsoft, so you can open your files easily when you get to campus.

Canva

Canva is a free, web-based tool that allows you to create all kinds of fun, professional looking documents and presentations (including Facebook cover photos, Tumblr graphics, and resumes) for free. Canva does charge for some of their options and images, but you can make a great project without paying a cent.

Prezi

Prezi is a presentation software that uses movement instead of static slides. You can start with a blank presentation or use one of their many templates. It's free and web-based, so you can access your presentations from any device with an internet connection.

VoiceThread
voicethread.com
This web based tool allows you to record spoken word over your presentation slides. VoiceThread is great for online classes, or for creating group presentations. It is free to use and you can easily share your presentations with classmates, friends, and colleagues.
