Do you dread buying expensive textbooks every semester? If so, you'll be thrilled to know that STCC offers courses that have free or low cost textbooks. And now you can search for them in ARIES!
ARIES replaces WebAdvisor as STCC's main student planning system. This new system allows students to search and register for courses, check their grades, and view schedules, unofficial transcripts, and financial aid information.
A new feature of the system allows students to search for courses using a no cost/low cost filter. Using the filter will allow students to view available courses that either use a free textbook or have course materials that cost less than $50.
If you'd like to see a list of no/low cost courses before logging into ARIES, you do so on the library's website: https://libguides.stcc.edu/OER/courses-for-students
To register for one of these courses, please contact your advisor. Always make sure you check in with your advisor before registering for courses. You can also get help from the Academic Advising and Transfer Center, located on the second floor of building 19.
