Introduction

Since the June 1st tornadoes, many organizations and individuals have come together to offer support for victims and the surrounding community. The purpose of this guide is to gather information on many of these efforts. If you know of an organization, government agency or event that is absent from these pages, please email ewarren@stcc.edu. Storm Assistance Centers

The Centers will be open from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., including Saturday and Sunday, until further notice.

FEMA Phone numbers and Disaster Relief Center Locations

Tornado victims can start getting information and can register for federal aid now, according to the Springfield Republican.

Those seeking assistance are strongly urged to first register with FEMA for assistance. Registration may be completed online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov, or in Spanish at www.disasterassistance.gov/home?langcode=ES, by smartphone through m.FEMA.gov.

 The phone number to register is (800) 621-FEMA, or (800) 621-3362. The TTY line number for the hearing impaired is (800) 462-7585.

Hours for Disaster Recovery Relief Centers:

Effective Monday, June 27, all DRCs will be open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., EDT, Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., EDT and closed on Sundays.
