Law Library

The Library at WNEU Law School welcomes the community at large when legal resources are needed.

Members of the public who do not fall into any of the above categories, and who wish to use the Law Library resources Monday through Friday, should contact Pat Newcombe at 413-782-1616 to arrange access. Public patrons will need a valid photo I.D. to use the Library.

The following library users are allowed immediate access to the Law Library upon presenting I.D. at the Security Desk Monday through Friday only:

  • Alumni/Attorneys (Monday-Friday)**
  • Students/faculty from other educational institutions
  • Persons who need access to the Federal Depository Collection. This Library is a congressionally designated depository for U.S. Government documents. Public access to the government documents collection is guaranteed by public law. (Title 44 United States Code).

Borrowing Privileges:

Only members of Western New England University, Western New England University School of Law alumni and members of the local bench and bar have borrowing privileges; members need to be registered borrowers in the Law Library's online circulation system. Non-members can access materials in the Reserve Collection with a valid form of identification.

Athenaeum Arts Series

The Athenaeum Arts Series is a program of events hosted and co-sponsored by D'Amour Library which seeks to enhance the cultural life of the Western New England University community through the offering of musical, theatrical, and film performances.

These programs are free, open to the public, and wheelchair accessible. Check the events calendar below for specific program dates, times, topics, and room locations.

Borrowing Privileges

D'Amour Library serves Western New England University students, faculty, staff, and alumni as well as students, faculty, and staff of the Cooperating Libraries of Greater Springfield. Community members are also welcome to use library materials, however, certain restrictions apply. All users need a valid Western New England University ID or guest card for library services.
